honkalister - 03 Jan 2003 17:53:45

Hey all,
New poster to the group.. anyways i'll get right to the skittles..
I started getting into surf music about 2 years ago after I saw the
Los straitjackets play live.. blew my ass off. I never new how kewl
surf was to play and listen too.. anywhoo i was a previous rockabilly
dude, and I'm looking to get a new amp. My previous amp was ruined
in a flood :( was a hotrod deville. But I've got my eyes on a Dual
Proffesional... i've seen alot of surfcats playing through them.. and
was wondering what all you thought. Worth the 3k??
thanks in advance.
btw.. playing on a usa strat, and a jackson surfcaster.

We had some recent discussion on the Dual Pro, thanks to Boulder Bob, try
searching the archives from the last week or two. I too am interested in
this beast and seek other comments/opinions, especially comparing it to say,
a vintage Showman or Dual Showman.
You may be happy to know that $3000 is just the MSRP, they actually go for
about $2100 brand new (which is still a princely sum). I saw a used one on
Ebay that had a reserve price of $1300 but it didn't sell.
