So yesterday I just got back my Dano Longhorn after having it converted from
bass to
baritone and it's a total blast. The tech machined a perfect metal nut, put on
some
Grover-style tuners and used a strat style hard-tail bridge. I found a set of
D'Addario
baritone strings 14-.68. I've got it tuned B to B, so I don't always know what
key i'm in
when I playing. I keep reaching for a whammy bar and there is nothing there,
but if I grab
the upper horn and push it I can get some nice neck-bends.
I was curious if anyone here has ever seen a set of flatwound baritone strings
available
anywhere?

i just bought a set of fender baritone flatwounds for my fender VI.i got
them on e-bay,i think they were a set form the 60's,i not shore but i do
know that fender has reissued that same set and you can get them form
fender. i use to make my own sets form a set of guitar and short scale
flatwound bass stings combo it work o.k. but the baritone string fit the
hole better on the tremolo tail peace on the fender VI i tune mine just like
the guitar only an octave lower
