Hi Everybody !
This is my first message to this group. I'm a french fan of surf
music. First of all I would like to thank a lot Ansigod for his site
about Man or astroman?, one of my favorite surf group. Same with
Brian who continue the site about this wonderful musicians.
So, here is my problem. I'm not an all around musician and I cant
read music. Did anybody see some web sites or books about middle
eastern music and oriental music with tablatures? I know two of the
scales used (phrygian mode and hungarian minor) but I prefer to learn
songs and translate them with a surf sound. The great Dick Dale show
me the way: Misirlou and Hava Nagila are translations of middle
eastern standards no?
