this clip used to be on Stevie van Zandt's underground garage page,
right?
does anyone know how this was recorded? is he playing live? he's
making some mistakes, and also he seems to be signaling something to a
sound man on the side.
random observations:
- he used to be a way cool dancer, great moves!
- someone should have explained to him that the way singing works is
that you move your lower jaw vertically, not horizontally. ;-)
- anyone know when the left-handed strat was introduced? ( cant seem to
find such a trivial piece of info on the web. google's a big
disappointment today)

The clip is still available at Little Steven's Underground Garage:
I've always thought of it as a live recording. As for DDs signaling,
it looks like he wants something confirmed from somebody as he nods
after getting a reply. A funny thing that can't be seen on the
internet clip is when Ed Sullivan is shaking hands with DD but the
cameraman is drunk or something and shoots their shadows on the wall
instead of the physical persons :-D

Its sounds & looks to me like his band was playing live just off
camera to Dicks left, camera right. I'd be inderested in knowing why
they were off camera. When he nods it's like "good job guys."

I always thought he says " More Volume, please" then nods when he
gets a little boost.
