Last one, I swear!

surfbandbill - 16 Dec 2002 04:05:02

Alright everyone out there, want to hear my new tank in action? Want
to see my sweeeeet aluminum walker suspending the tank? Want to get
out of the pouring rain here in the SF Bay area? Then I've got just
the trick....
THE LAVA RATS EARLY-CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA!!!
First: This Wednesday, December 18th, at 330 Ritch in Downtown SF,
near PacBell Park -- We are playing with Bodies in the Basement.
Doors at 9, music at 10, we play at 11 and will rock out for one
solid hour. Pick up the middle of your week by catching two great
bands for just $5! ALSO, for those of our fans who aren't yet 21,
this is an 18+ show!
Second: Friday, December 20th: We're playing at The Tempest,
located at 431 Natoma St (between 5th and 6th). Headlining this show
is Count Dante: the most dangerous man alive, also on the bill is
Cool by Association, who will be making the trip up from LA. So to
catch a little variety, including Count Dante, who is the mind behind
incredibly strange wrestling, and a whompin' good time, plan to make
the show. Doors at 9:00, music at 9:30 -- we either open or play
number two, so make it out early. Cover is $5 at the door, and this
is a 21+ venue.
Third: Saturday, December 21st: We make our triumphant return to our
SF roots: Thee Parkside! This night is a one-two punch of surf and
rockabilly. We kick off the festivities around 10, and The Haywoods
will be making their trek into the city from Santa Cruz to kick out
the jams all night. Expect a night of great, high energy music from
both bands! Thee Parkside is located at 17th and Wisconsin in SF's
Potrero Hill district. Doors at 9, 21+, cover is $5.
Consider these shows as a present to all our fans who have supported
us thus far. As added incentive, if you make it out to all three
shows you'll receive in the mail a FREE copy of our latest "basement
recordings". Hell, if you show up to just one of the shows, you
might be able to get your hands on this...
Happy Holidays!
THE LAVA RATS
PS - Never ask a rockabilly bassist about his setup... my best friend
is one. It's a touchy subject, dare I say it, they're more obsessed
than we are! ~Bill~
