New Noise

Joe K. (norcalhodad) - 23 Sep 2005 09:10:45

Its seemed a bit quiet around here lately so I thought I would
upload some new songs
I've recorded at home. The sound quality on PureVolume.com isn't
that great, but then
neither are my recordings.

Thanks BN and DM. My recording process isn't always the same, but it
might go a little
something like... laying down a rhythm guitar track to a click track,
getting the basic
arrangement set, recording the lead guitar over that, then bass and
drums last. I use
GarageBand software, one dynamic mic and one condensor mic, a
Firewire interface/mic
pre-amp. Some song arrangements make it possible to overdub drum
parts, so I can get a
mic on a tom. Something like that.
I'll connect with you guys when I get off work tomorrow night,
probably the last 45
minutes of Phil's show.

Hey Joe,
That was hella cool, dude!. I'm way impressed that you can record
all those parts yourself and make it all fit together so well, no
small feat!
Damn, I wish you lived a little closer to O'town.
Great lead guitar work, especially on Hella, and I really liked the
drum intro to it too. You got a ton of talent, keep on keepin' on!
