They weren't a surf band. They were a group of studio musicians brought
together by Joe Saraceno, who produced "Surfer's Stomp." The story behind

think about the production, it was a very important record to the genre of
surf music. IMO, the record was intended to capitalize on what Saraceno
thought was a new dance craze, the Stomp. Because it appeared that this

The tune was originally written and recorded as "Outer Limits" and
initially released on Warner Bros. with that title. Right after the single
was released, the label was sued by ABC Television and/or the production
company responsible for the TV series with the same name. That's when the
title of the record was changed to "Out of Limits."
