Hey Group:
The recent discussions of Dick Dale's MySpace and
www.dickdale.com have led me to think about well-designed
surf music sites.
I know there are tons of cool surf music sites out there,
but which is your favourite, and why?
I like this one:
www.slacktone.com
It is a simple, easy to navigate, highly functional
website.
It is usually updated, and all of the information on the
site seems relevant, timely and accurate.

Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around
I don't like the new Bambi Molesters design as much, although I must
say it is a very nice design done by a professional. The old one was
great. I am a big fan of the Nebulas site because of the face plate
design. And of course who can forget the best design
The 'Verb
Was that shameless? I found a template online and built the site
around it.

Jacob how can you say that? www.reluctantaquanauts.com is the
best! Microsoft Frontpage at it's best! Hahaha, seriously...there
are templates online??
Our drummer does web design, I really wish he'd make us something
better. I brought it up to him once and he made a great point, our
site looks circa 1996, and a lot of surf sites seem to as well. In
other words there aren't many GREAT surf band websites out there. I
think if you've got the basics, where your shows going to be, where
to buy items, and a few pictures you've done fairly well.
I do think the Vibrants () have a really cool
site. But it might get annoying if I visited a lot.

I just typed in web page templates, or something similar, and I used
an HTML editor to get it how I wanted and add all of our information.
The template is pretty much the border and the links on the side. If
you want an updated website you could probably do a decent job
yourself with one of those templates.

artwork.........in fact i like all of the little flyers he does for
their shows too.... carol
I like www.thesharkskins.com. the way they use the color blue as their trademark
color is classy, it's all over the site. I also like the posters page. Also
www.moon-rays.com. I like all that cheesey horror stuff. They now have a puzzle
and a puddle to tinker around with and i've spent hours surfing their
interesting links page. www.theghastlyones.com is a fun site as well. I like
colorful surf and rockabilly sites with cool links and nostalga from the 50's,
60's and early 70's.
