Re: To Bruce... was...New Jensen speakers vs. JBL's and a question

Jeff (bigtikidude) - 02 Sep 2005 19:44:33

Bruce,
I seemed to have missed the fake posts as there are a bunch of
deleted posts if you look at the Post # on each page. Oh well.
As for missing your guys sets.
You seem to have an uncanny habbit of booking shows when other
events are going on. Sorry, I've been planning on going to the
Museum gig since May.
But I will see the Reventlos at the Orange Street Fair on Sat
afternoon at 2 pm and 4 pm

signing MY name to his postings, his information in his response to
you, was pretty accurate, including Antique Electronics Supply's
price for the Jensen Neodymium speaker. I checked on ebay, and find
that the JBL's that we all know and love from the glory days, haven't
been produced in years.

they command collector's prices. I saw one JBL speaker that had no
cone, (so it needs a $100 re-cone job) on which the minimum bid was
$99. I saw others where the bids are moving in the $250 to $300
direction.

mint EV 12L's from my Bandmaster Cab. The new speaker has mucho
cojones, and a very satisfying bass-end.

to help me lug the heavy stuff, like you promised in your earlier
posting, when you called us "OLD MEN" for wanting to lighten the
weight of our rigs! So I'll be carrying main and backup amps plus
speakers with a total weight of around 70 lbs. versus about 240 lbs.
before I got the Crate Power Block and Jensen lightweight speakers!
