Dick Dale invented Surf in the 50s?

DP (noetical1) - 04 Sep 2005 12:12:04

Jeff:
You might be on to something there...or, maybe Dick's wife,
Jill made up the account...or maybe one of Dick's minions
(The Dickheads) is serving his master...
Well, anyway, whoever set it up, it is cool to have a
MySpace place devoted to the inimitible King of the Surf
Guitar: Dick Dale.

I visited the MySpace Dick Dale site, and to me the whole thing looks faked.
The writing in the bio is like that of a 13 year old C-minus English student,
and quite a few of the facts are simply wrong. I doubt that Dick has anything
to do with this MySpace account.

Bruce D,
All the more reason to think it is Dick :).

That is what I was going to say. If Dick is the one who updates his
website then I agree with Bill. His website is one of the worst I have
ever seen.

What' about 45 rpm singles, did Dick have the first one of
those?
Then the other bands just beat him to the Punch on the LP market?
