Our first try at putting a band together came in the
early months of 1963. We actually "recruited" two
different "guitar players" on two different occasions
because they owned an amp.....One of the guys was
forced to quit the band because we borrowed his amp
and "forgot" to take him to the gig.....His mother had
no sense of humor..Just can't figure out why.....I was
just thinking that back in early '63 most of the guys
in bands around here were using the Silvertone 1472's
and 1482's. I can't remember any of the local bands
doing vocals until maybe the summer of 1963.....More
