===>Although not new, per se, I've recently done a cover of "Surf Bat"
from 45 Grave (America's first "Goth" band, from the early 1980s--yeah,
a Goth band that did a surf song!).
I'm also working on a cover of "Playa de los Muertos" by The Bomboras,
although I don't know when, if ever, I'll get that completed.

We do alot of current-surf-band-covers, too. Given that we're still
relatively new - we cut our teeth on The Bomboras "Mile Zero,"
SCOTS "The Wet Spot," Satan's Pilgrims' "Small Craft Advisory,"
MOAM's "Sferic Waves," and The Ghastly Ones' "Haulin Hearse," all of
which we still play live...along with a cover of an old heavy metal
tune we re-worked instrumentally that we call "Number of the Beach."
We're still only up to 5 originals, at the moment.

45 Grave recorded and released 2 versions of "Surf Bat." Which are you
covering?

We do a few newer covers. "Fist Fight" and "7 Seconds to
Perfection" by the Treblemakers, but those are from the past
decade. We've done the Nebulas "Nematode" just because it's such a
cool song. But, it doesn't sound as good without the second
guitar.
