Yamaha Magicstomp and Shadows Echos

Chris (kahunatikiman) - 12 Aug 2005 15:50:06

I finally got my Yamaha magicstomp 'Sounds like the Shadows echos'
patches from Geoff in England! They are really cool. There are about
40 different Shadows Echos, each witht a corresponding song title for
the name. They sound very authentic to me. Playing the Shadows songs
is much more fun when your guitar sounds like Hank!

Chris,
I just got the Magicstomp II box and was considering buying those
patches. I was able to get some sounds similar to the Shadows already
by using the "tape echo" patch and tweaking the settings. Glad to
hear they work so well. Any suggestions for payment method? When I
e-mailed them they said they preferred a wire transfer, which is $50
at my bank! I was a little disappointed that the box doesn't seem to
have a true bypass, and it seems to color/degrade the tone a litle
even when its off. There's a user discusion group at

Casey -
I sent him cash - it cost $60 ($55 + $5 for the exchange fee) If
you give him a postal transaction #, he will send the patches right
away.
I thought the magic stomps stock echo's were pretty cool too,
but these patches are very convincing! I think they call it tapped
echo, where the echo doesn't just fade out, it warbles and moves
around as it decays. Too cool!
E- mail me offline if you want to...
