Their is a still picture that is shown during the Southbay Reunion VHS
tape while the Belairs are playing, and it's one of the "early
Belairs" and it's got Eddie playing a Jaguar. Does anyone know if
that was put in any CD liner notes? I've got Volcanic Action and it's
not in that one. Anyone have a copy of this picture?
Thanks,
Bill

It's available in the lengthy booklet that's included with the
Belairs' "And the Originas of Surf Music" CD (Iloki-Hep Cat).
Notice that Paul's also on a Jaguar in that photo, and they're both
plugged into blonde piggyback amps (Bandmasters, I think). Eddie
also has a bleached-blonde hairdo (it doesn't even look like him),
and they're all wearing matching cardigans - something you'll really
appreciate! The caption by the photo says: "The Belairs, late '62;
only existing photo of the band from period of Dickie Dodd on
drums". So, this was right before Eddie and Dickie split to form
Eddie & the Showmen. Cool photo.
Ivan
Ivan,
Thanks, maybe I'll have to get that CD, even if I've already got
half those songs. It looked like they had on cardigans from glance
I had at this photo. I dig those old photos.

You'll like some of the obscure songs on the disc, Bill. I'd be
willing to bet you start playing "Davy Crocket/ Mickey Mouse club
theme" after you hear it. It reminded me of the Reluctant
Aquanauts and the "mayberry RFD" theme song.
