Re: Cable question . .(reply to Wannes) .

Jeff (bigtikidude) - 25 Nov 2002 07:52:43

-Wannes,
Those metel things from beer bottles are called Bottle Caps.
And The Bass Player from the Torquays uses a curly cable. It's funny
because they are real traditional. But when I see the Curly Cable I
think of Lemmy from Motorhead or some other 70"s/80's metal band.
hope that helps,
Jeff(bigtikidude)
p.s. pick up you bottle caps when your done drinking ;-/

Jeff
well," bottle caps" suck big-time
it's been a long time since we were students and actually drank beer during
rehearsals. now we have to get up early in the morning and usually just
drink coffee and water. but we rent out our practice space to other bands
who, despite all the notes we hang ond the wall, "forget" to clean up their
mess every now and then. oh well....
I think curly cables look killer, esp. when they - too short - hang two feet
above the ground between amp and guitar. I'd love to look like lemmy, but
unfortunatly i have less facial hair in total then lemmy has on one square
inch of his sideburns.

Wannes,
Plus if you wanted to look like Lemmy. You would have to get 2 huge
moles the size of Mountains on your face. That reminds me. One time
On Beavis and Butthead (MTV cartoon) Beavis asked Butthead"Why does
Lemmy have 2 Coco Puffs (breakfast cerial) on his face. I almost fell
off the couch laughing. Surf related note. Dick Dale's Video is the
only Music Video that B&B watched all the way through, without
changing the channel.

Jeff,
I'd probably buy two of those"Micheal Jackson stick-on nose extensions",
that would do the job.
Thanks for that little surf-fact there, didn't know that. We do get Beavis
and Butthead here in Europe, but somehow Ids never thought they would be
surf-fans... or was there some other reason for them to watch the video?
I can be quite B&B- lame myself at times: the first time i visited DD's
website i was suprised by the click-on line for a photo "Dick Dale with his
Jaguar" ... there i was, thinking "I thought he was a strat-guy".... turns
out the guy actually has a pet jaguar.
