The rehearsal tracks sound good, Tom.
I like the Mojo one best. I'm noticing a rhythm guitar on the first couple
o'tracks. I thought you guys were essentially a three piece with two double
necks, one on bass while the other plays lead. Did you add a member or sneak in
a rhythm overdub?

New kid in the band. Check the photos on the surfneptune.com
I have a double neck also. Bariar Ha!
All tracks were live then mixed down at my house.
No reverb added to the guitars.

Hi Brian,
What I have is a Standard 6 w/wangbar on bottom 12-48
and a Baritone on to w/set bridge 14-68. Both Strats.
The bari neck was from Warmoth. Orginally I was going
to have both be Rosewood, but I missed my maple. So,
I'm swapping the Rosewood for a Maple. Most of the
parts came from 2 early MIMex Fenders. I have been
using a switch on the body (footswitch installed below
the volume knob) but Tom and Steve are very busy boys
and it like H*%$# to switch while playin' SOOO Down to
a floor switch it goes. The Big problem is bar chords
at the nut of the Bari is I'm runin' into the keys of
the other neck. Now I saw the Jaguar Double Neck and
the Bari neck was on the bottom! Hmmmmmm. Look like it
might be time for mister router!!! Grrrrrr!!! Double
Neck - Double Wammy - Double Fun.
New CD? He*l YA! (oops)

Thanks for those I did enjoy them.. I have seen you guys live on two
occasions in he last 3 months so I have heard those songs before.. I
liked your 3 originals and your cover..
I think I liked Bethany the best, it was the most interesting
melodically with the spy type theme and structurally with a nice
transition from the chorus into the spanish flavored bridge.
Rip It Up seemed more like a typical surf tune but because John
didn't do much I was a bit disappointed. Of course I expect more from
him than other drummers, I think he is one of the best currently
playing surf music.
The unusual chorus on Full Color Mojo stood out to me and helped make
the song.. You guys seem to repeat your 8 bar choruses before your
brief bridge into the verse again, perhaps that is standard form and
that I just hadn't really noticed it before when listening to songs
by other surf bands. I guess when listening to your MP3's I was more
in an analyzing mode.
I think the sound quality, performance and mix were excellent.
Looking forward to a new recording or more MP3's by you guys.
