Carbon 14, cool observation. I have stayed away from many of these
groups for the past few months. I am suprised that the existential
question about surf today still wages on.
It's a thrill for me to play this surf rock simulacra even though its
not completely trad. Like in (ocean) surfing, who is the better
surfer, the guy who shreds every wave, or the guy who can barely
paddle his board? My answer is the guy having the most fun.
We need one of those Coors Light "Real Men of Genius" radio commercial
(popular on the east coast) which salutes "Mr. Traditional Surf Rock
Guitarist Guy".
