Just wanted to say hello to everyone out there!. I'm really excited of
the fact that there are people out there that love surf music as much
as I do. I think I'm entranced by it. There is something so pure about
it. Can't find that in today's music.

Sandman:
It seems like you are exhibiting the chronic symptoms of
aural/melodic fascination : in other words, you're totally
"Surf Crazy" my friend!
Welcome to SG101, and may the reverberation always be with
you.

Hey Thanks,Miller, Big Dave, Phil Dirt. For the warm welcome.Yeah. You know I
cannot pinpoint exactly how it all came about. I did grow up listening to all
kinds of music. As a Professional Skateboarder in the late 80's, we were
constantly looking for music for inspiration and motivation. I listened to
everything from Devo , The B-52's to the Cramps, Dead Kennedy's,as well as
oldies, the Yardbirds, the Doors, the Animals, etc. but for some reason the
surf
insrumental music really stood out to me. Watching Pulp Fiction of course
really got things going. I had wanted to play either the drums or the guitar as
a kid. Never did though, until about 8 years ago. I'd sneak my sister's
acoustic out of the closet at night when she went to work and play along to
teach
yourself videos. Took some lessons and learned a couple classics;Pipeline,
Wipeout, Penetration. And here I am 8 years later in search of that ultimate
tone, and perfect reverberation...............................and a band with
the same interests!

Yea those bands sound familiar. My first band was a cramps copy band.
