When doing upgrades to my Fernandes Jazzcaster, I was looking at the
Duncan Antiquity Surfers and some others. I ran across GFS pickups on
ebay and these are getting really favorable reviews, especially for
the price. The guy that does these used to run Bedrock amps. Anyway,
I decided to get his Premium Overwound Alnico Staggers and these
pickups rock. They were only $60 and blow away a lot of the pickups
out there that are over 2 times the price. These ones may be a little
hot for some people but I love them. I definitely am going to go back
to him when I upgrade the pups in my Mexi-Strat. He also has
Filtertron copies that are apparently very nice.
No, I'm not getting anything for plugging these. Just wanted to give
people a heads up to at least check them out if you're in the market
for new pickups.
