well on the basis of this discussion I found a nice cheap reissue
reverb unit on eBay and bought it.
I like the reverb in my 1970 Twin a lot... it will be interesting to
see how I fare with the outboard unit
I remember Jon Deadman using one in Dead Man's Curve and it was
*very* splashy
How much difference do the rube replacment mods make?

Hey John,
The rube replacements make more difference than tube replacements. But seriously
folks, the tube replacements make no audible difference at all in my A/B
testing. Spend the tube money on some good nickel strings.
