Just got back from his show....never been before...can't hear now....BUT: HE IS
AWESOME...WHAT A BLAST (LITERALLY AS WELL).
If you've never seen him play live and have an opportunity, do it.

I got to see Dick at the Georgia Theatre here in
Athens a couple of years ago. One of the greatest
shows I've ever been to. I too was deaf afterwards.

I saw Dick Dale a few months back here in Belgium at a small festival.
Now I know why they call him great. Amazing, what a show...Didn't go
deaf....
At one song he was playing the trumpet first, then the bass with drum
sticks and then the drums together with the drummer...Awesome...
Quiet a "showman" for his age....Not pure surf, but great music....Did
like his version of Fever a lot....You gimmi fever....fe-ver....
