I just saw an interesting line in the new Dumb Angel Gazzette #4 (a fantastic
issue by the way). Dominic makes a statement to the affect that Duane Eddy's
"Yep" contains the riff that would latter be used for "Wipe Out". Sure enough,
"Yep" starts of with the famous "Wipe Out" riff played in a lower register and
phrased slightly differently and does not go to the IV for a good while.
Has anyone seen this discussed before?

The Surfaris recorded Yep in the follow up session they did for Delvy
for the ill-fated first album.
