ELEMENTAL INSTRUMENTAL - new surf music Internet radio show

Unsteady Freddie (schizofredric) - 12 Jul 2005 06:24:58

are people aware that DAN COLEMAN (my Program Director for "Twang Shebang") and
I have started a SECOND Internet 'Radio' Show?
it's called 'ELEMENTAL INSTRUMENTAL' -- it's for "kids"
the idea is to present this wondrous surf instro twang to as young an audience
as possible
as described by DAN:
Now you can listen to "Elemental Instrumental" in the live stream
rotation. Its a new surf show aimed at showcasing this wonderful
genre to a preteen audience.
My thought was to get em hooked young! Again this is a free service
to listen to and there will be a archive section built as well with
free access.
I wanted a new show just for kids, when I was young I was exposed to
great music,it was what formed my taste and my guit playing. It
totally influenced me in all aspects of my listening, and playing.
When was born last year and I saw my chance
to reach the preteen audience.
The concept was thought of by Unsteady Freddie, he said..."Hey
Let's Do The Alphabet" Start with A Name bands like Aquamarines,
which open the first show with "My Wonderful Shadow" This is one of
my personal favorites, and what a fun song for the kids to hear.
Unsteady Freddie is obviuosly the Host, I am still at the controls,
and still sweepin the floors around here. I do hope you get to tune
in and let me know what you think. Tune in here
VIKTOR of THE COFFIN DAGGERS has commented about the concept and the show:
Good show! It's a great idea too, if this music is ever going to
leave it's musical ghetto and rise above it's 'museum' status, you've
gotta get the kids into it! Get 'em while they're young and
impressionable. I've found that this music has an apeal for every
age group. Ever see 'Ghoul a GO GO'? A very twisted public access
show, it's sort of like american bandstand and Bozo the clown meets
the Munsters and Ghoulardi. They have little kids dancing to really
obscure 60's records and the kids seem to love it. You're definately
on to something here...
the "premier" show covers the letter "A"
artists featured are:
AQUAMARINES (2 SONGS)
DAVIE ALLAN & THE ARROWS (2 SONGS)
AQUA VELVETS
ATOMIC MOSQUITOS
AQUA VISTA
ANACONDAS
AFTER ONE
AQUALADS
so there are 2 ways to access the "live stream"
(1) go to TWANG SHEBANG page and hit the "live stream" button at the top of the
page:
(2) go to www.kidschannel.ca and click on "KIDS CHANNEL RADIO TUNE IN" on the
lower right side of the page
bands beginning with the letter "B", "C" and "D" -- if interested in being heard
here (or of course on TWANG SHEBANG) should send me mp3's one song per e-mail at, and/or send me CDs ASAP to me at this address:
UNSTEADY FREDDIE
C/O RECORD PRESS INC
157 CHAMBERS STREET, 4TH FLOOR

so kids, slow it down, remember: WALK, DON'T RUN!!
