I'm no great songwritter, and never will be... so I wouldnt take my
advice haha. I have no formal training except for piano lessons
early on in life. I think this post has GREAT potential in educating
us all, (is there anyone out there that can do that?)
That being said, and this is directed mostly towards Gavin,
sometimes the best surf songs and other rock n' roll songs are
written by musicians with little training...the Beatles come to
mind. I think you just need to get your creative juices flowing. I
find it hard to just sit down a write a song, and if nothing comes
out forcing it sometimes just makes it worse.
