UNSTEADY FREDDIE's "AFTER MERMAID PARADE PARTY" was a blow-out success!
It went so well (HUGE TURNOUT!!) -- that Unsteady Freddie has been asked back by
LILLIE to do it again!!
Yeah we're gonna throw another 3-band bash SATURDAY AUGUST 27TH.
At LILLIE'S BAR in Red Hook (Brooklyn) New York.
The venue also throws a massive BBQ ... never-ending parade of food!

THE SHINTO KINGS! (featuring a stray member of the IRREVERSIBLE SLACKS no
less). Great trad instro band that got things grooving in a surf direction.
FLIGHT OF THE BUMBLE BEE was pretty damned innovative!
THE 9TH WAVE -- as usal these Connecticut-based hot-rod surfer-rockers pumped up
the place. Mike "Staccato" Rosado -- celebrating a birthday too! Oceana
looking especially Mermaid-y IN A SHIMMERING MICRO MINI SKIRT! Gotta also
acknowledge a special effort by bass player NEGATIVE ED playing his heart out
despite a torn rotator cuff! Valiant!
SQUID PUSSY -- they stepped in late last week for EL PATAPSCO -- and closed out
the show in twang-drenched fashion. GAIL just might be the best female surf
bassit I have ever witnessed - nice backbeat dudette!!. And JESSE -- Mr. Whammy
Bar himself! Playin' some serious fuzz-tones, and dark notes. New music
introduced too! The SQUID PUSSY SHUFFLE is the one that always get me!
and LILLIE -- GOD BLESS LILLIE (and JAN too) -- a great crew at this venue.
So everybody -- 3 bands -- near the end of the summer - AUGUST 27th -- c'mon you
out-of-town bands -- great venue to play LIVE!
