Thanks to Ivan and all for the very kind words. I
don't know what to say except, thanks, and if you
enjoy surf music, enjoy it live. It really is worth
heading out to a club and seeing that surf music is a
living thing, not just something that happened in the
60s. The surf fans are great people, and they all seem
to know each other.
About the Surf Battle, it was a blast, but really, it
was the bands that donated their time, the rest was
just making a few phone calls. We are very lucky in
the Bay Area to have the support of a great radio
station, KFJC, and a great DJ, Phil Dirt, so having a
benefit for them is an honor.
If you are interested in reading a recent brief
interview w/me check out:
This is a Japnese webzine called Void and Action, just
keep hitting the button for "Interview". I make an
exciting announcement about future plans for PDM.
Thanks again,
Ferenc

I dug out the link, you can get directly to the interview by going here:
That is totally fantastic news Ferenc!!! Congratulations. When does
that take place, and are you guys psyched?
Best,
BN
-Ferenc,
Let me also add to the List of thanks, sorry for the delay in
jumping on the bandwagon.
I totally agree with you on Surf being a Living thing, and must be
enjoyed live. I find that there is way more energy and interesting
nuances(sp?) of the Music that I don't get form cd's. And if we
don't support the bands in Live venues. The Venues won't want them
back, or worse. The Bands might stop playing out, or at all.
I try to buy alot of cd's from Bands. but I feel going to shows is
even more important.
