Ivan, the VERY essential "Diggin' Out" comp was released on the Mr.
Manicotti label ;-) As for the "Waikiki Surf Battle" comp, I think
it's great although it suffers from lo-fi sound quality (which isn't
surprising since it was recorded outdoors in front of 10,000
screaming kids!). I agree in some way on the "Strummin' Mental"
series that too many I-IV-V progression songs in a row can get a bit
boring after a while. Here's a great such a tune though:
The Journeymen "Surfer's Blues"
Just listen to the screaming agony of the surfer's blues!!
