Heads up everyone,
This Sunday, November 10th, the Surf Scene will be invading the Hotel
Utah in San Francisco for the second of what should hopefully be many
installments of SURFIN' SUNDAYS. The first show pulled out close to
100 people, let's see if we can top that this time. Playing on the
bill are THE SUB-MERSIANS from Santa Cruz, THE SURF LINERS coming
down from Davis, and THE LAVA RATS from the City by the Bay itself.
Show starts at 2 pm, food is available, libations are readily flowing
(including some special tiki drinks for the day), and for those of us
who cringe at the thought of missing the fate of the 49ers, football
will be playing on both of the toobs. Admission is a mere $5, and as
always, the Utah is 21+, but minors can come in if accompanied by a
legal guardian, so feel free to bring the kids.
So come out and support the local surf scene. Bands will have cd's
available, posters for the show will be available (and look
beautiful - I'm putting one above my mantle). So come out, have a
drink, enjoy some of the fine Utah cuisine, sit back, relax, and
enjoy an afternoon full of world-quality surf rock.
