I caught the Eddie Angel Guitar party the other night in New Haven - real good
stuff - played two sets containing some LS & some Neanderthals as well as a kick
ass 3-song blast of some classic Sonics songs (The Witch, Have Love Will Travel
& Don't You Just Know It) which sounded exactly like the original recordings.
Backing band the Lustre Kings were great & I beleive contained LS new drummer,
who is phenomenal and has great technique - he is the quintessential early 60s
drummer a la Mel Taylor, Bob Bennet or Sandy Nelson. Can't wait to see him
open it up at the LS show in Chicago next month. Gret stuff!!
