EDDIE ANGEL -- LIVE!!!!!

Unsteady Freddie (schizofredric) - 14 Jun 2005 12:38:41

Caught EDDIE ANGEL last night LIVE at the RODEO BAR in NYC, backed the fabulous
rockabilly trio, THE LUSTRE KINGS
So damn hot, I'm goin' back again tonight
If U live in the NYC area, drop all your plans, and head the Hell over there for
this event; the band cranks up at 10 pm, 2 sets, and it's free
2 more nights after this:
Cafe 9 New Haven CT June 15th
Alive at 5 Albany NY June 16th
Eddie and Co. were in fine form, and they featured materials spanning Eddie's
various musical concoctions - Los Straitjackets, Planet Rockers, Neanderthals,
Guitar Party, etc.
Before the show started, this young gentleman sits down next to me. We take one
look at each other, and start hollerin' and huggin' -- why, you ask? Because
this gentleman was Esteban Ramiro, who plays guitar for the Imperial Surfers
from Spain. He's in town with his lovely bride to be Sylvia. We met and became
fast friends at the Wipe Out Festival in Calella Spain last year.
Small world! Think they are coming back tonight too.
Find your way to catch this mini-tour before Eddie rejoins Los Straitjackets.
Incidentally, "Teen Beat" was playing drums. I first met him with the Lustre
Kings, then later behind the skins for the Hi-Risers. So, I can confirm here it
is official (though it's been reported elsewhere -- I am hardly the first person
to post this): that "Teen Beat" has replaced Jimmy Lester on drums for Los
Straitjackets.
That's the deal!
Unsteady Freddie
