Hello people,
Just thought I'd mention that the deadline for the current Cordelia Records
covers comp is the end of this month.
In case you haven't heard of it before: this compilation CD is open to surf
instrumental bands who want to record cover versions of tunes which are way
outside the normal surf repertoire - like Los Straitjacket's version of "My
heart will go on" for example.
The title of the CD is now "Beyond the Sea" - (when The Aquamarines decided
to record that tune it leapt out as the perfect title for the project).
If you're curious to see the complete list of tracks so far there is a web
page on the Cordelia site: www.cordelia-records.co.uk - all the details
about submitting tracks etc are on there too.
There are 13 tracks already submitted and a further 18 in various stages of
construction - but allowing for people dropping out and the fact that surf
instrumentals tend to be short - there's probably room for more. Drop me an
email if you're interested.
