I am planning on seeing DICK DALE's show in New Haven this coming Friday at
"Toad's Place"; my buddies The 9th Wave are one of the opening acts
Did this last year, had a blast; met Sam and Dusty, and got a picture of me and

BUT I NEED YOUR HELP oh good and informed surf-rock people in Yahoo

I have some vinyl I want Dick to autograph
One is the Capitol Records release called DICK DALE AND HIS DEL-TONES: KING OF
THE SURF GUITAR ---- That's not the issue
What I NEED HELP with are 3 vinyl releases on the "SURF" record label; the
records were all "Made in Luxembough"
the titles are
SURFERS' GUITAR
DRAGGIN' AND SURFIN'
RARITIES
question then is: ARE THESE LEGITIMATE RELEASES, AUTHORIZED BY DICK DALE? I
think I read somewhere these 3 vinyl releases are BOOTLEGS
Can anyone help me out here A S A P ?

Those three ARE bootlegs, and I don't think D.D. thinks much of
them. He'll sign 'em for you, and be gracious about it, but
you'll probably hear about it too...
It might be a good chance to ask him to re-issue his original
vinyl....
