Newbie intro, info on the next generation and a Surf question

Bronco (ahospodor) - 01 Jun 2005 15:16:19

Hello surflords, tikiguitar gods, and all who love surf
My teenagers have a surf band called the Shuttleducks, and they
occasionally let me play rythme guitar. cowabunga!
Seems that surf drummers are in short order these days, so I am
thinking about a drum machine. Anyone know of any surf drum loops for
sale or reccomendations on machines?
Keep the reverb wet,

A teen surf band! How retro! I think that is great.
If you are just playin' around with surf, the new Fender G-Dec has a few good
surf drum
loops and lots of other loops built in. If you need something more complex, I
got no idea.
But I just had to write and say...hello, and welcome! Put the kids onto the
site, there are so
many encouraging, talented, and stoked players here to help them...I think I
speak for
everyone when I say, a teen band (with dad on rhythm) is a welcome addition to
SG 101.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
The Shuttleducks are already "gigging" at grad parties and backyard BBQs,
perhaps a special appearance at a neighborhood garage sale. Streetlight
records in SJ and Amoeba in the big city are where the kids really want to
play this summer.
I will also point the kids at the site - thanks!
