The Nebulas Kick Ass

moss_surf - 30 May 2005 11:15:54

Man I got a kick out a readin some goons remarks about the Nebs. Oh
Gosh I'm still laughing. It is simple as this, The Nebulas kill it. I
have yet to see them live, as soon as they make it to the west coast,
Northern California to be exact, I'm all there. I remember awhile
back
this "wanna be" surf band so called promoter was trying to bash on
others in this community. You know some people don't get it and they
never will.

I have had the opportunity and the great pleasure of sharing the stage at a show
with the Nebulas, and I can tell you first hand, they are a class act! In fact.
I had been listening to the Nebulas long before I actually started playing surf!
We were a little nervous sharing the stage with them because we were a
relatively unknown surf band. Watching their faces light up when we started
playing and getting compliments from them when we were done was worth much more
than what we got paid that night! They are a bunch of stand up guys and some
pretty damn good surf musicians too! If you haven't seen them perform live yet,
you must!!!

I think they're a fine band as well, Stewd, and it must feel great that they
complimented you. I wasn't there but based on what tfj reported, I think they
would have had a bit more class if they had just bitten the bullet and played
the stupid gig to which they had unfortunately commtted themselves. I wondered
if they felt that way as well when tfj talks about going to get drunk after the
walk out.

The Nebulas played at 'The Cutting Room' - headlining a "Surf-Rock
Shindig" - last year, for which The Surfalicious Dudes were also on
the bill. It was a powerful one-two punch of a show I gotta tell ya!!
And The 'Dudes' sure showed everyone what an amazing live act they
are!!! Totally put them on the map, in my humble opinion.
Shame they didn't play Saturday night (I showed up for it)....but
that's an issue between them and Strange Dave, and I'm gonna leave it
there
