I saw him play last night at the Casbah in San Diego. Started
with "Rumble" then did everything. Did a cover of Hank William's "I
Can't Help It If I'm Still in Love with You." Used the oldest
Marshall head /cab combination I've ever seen. THe speaker cab was
facing toward the wall-away from the crowd. Ear splittingly loud! My
ears literally rang all the way home.
Gonna see hime again tonight in Hollywood so my son Mark can see the
legend. (They don't let under 21 in at the Casbah). BTW Mark will be
wearing his "Tye Died Jellyfish" T Shirt (from the MP3 Compilation)
so.. If any of you guys see us please come up and introduce
yourselves! It would be nice to meet some of the Surf Guitar 101
people.
