I'll be at both - also grinning from ear to ear (but keeping one eye on
where TFJ is . . . )
The highlight of my Summer - and my 20th anniversary is this year - don't
tell my wife . . . aw, well, she understands . . . ;)

Is the show going to sell out? Because I find out if I can go or not
on tuesday. I've played at the Funhouse twice before and it isn't very
big. If I can't go to Seattle I will go to Portland. Is the Portland
venue big? Anybody know?

On Sunday, June 5, 2005, while Brian and Kristena are up north getting stoked on
Satan's Pilgrims, we have a total Blockbuster lined up in SoCal!
SIX, count 'em SIX of SoCal's hottest Surf Bands will be playing in Huntington
Beach!
First, starting at 10:00 at the Huntington Pier, is the International Surf
Museum "Surfin' Sundays" show featuring:
INSECT SURFERS...10:45 PM to 12 NOON
THE ELIMINATORS...12 Noon to 1:15 PM
MiGS...1:15 PM to 2:30 PM
SURF KINGS...2:30 PM to 3:45 PM
DYNOTONES...3:45PM to 5:00 PM
That's Five of the Six.
Starting at 4PM, at Martini Blues, 5874 Edinger Ave. (at Springdale) will be the
LONGBOARD RANCH CD-Release Party, celebrating our second CD, "Longboard Ranch
Rides Again!" $10 door charge gets you free Hot Buffet, (Martini Blues has the
reputation for top quality eats!), Drink Specials, a free copy of the CD, plus
much more!
Not to mention, you'll be able to tell your grand-kids that you saw Longboard
Ranch play live!
For those who'll be coming over from the Surfin Sundays show, we've specifically
asked Martini Blues to adjust their usual buffet hours, so as NOT to conflict
with ANY of the bands performing at the Pier, including The Dynotones, and to
assure Dynotones fans who come after 5PM that they won't miss out on the buffet.
I'll post more details during the week, and as soon as Doug gets it to me, I'll
post a jpeg of the Longboard Ranch CD Release Party Poster.
So, Kristena and Brian, while we all know how awesome it must be to have the
chance to see Satan's Pilgrims play live, there's still gonna be a lot of fun
things happening down here!
We'll miss ya!

Way to hijack a thread Bruce! ;-)
Seriously, that sounds like a great day and good luck on your CD
release party. I'd be there if I could. I might skip out on one of
those bands at the pier though... =:-O

You can order tickets for both venues online or call Ticketswest.com and
arrange your tickets to be "will call". If you show up cool, if you dont,
then you're out 25 bucks total for both gigs. Would truly suck to get there
and not be able to get in.

Shawn:
That's a damned hostile posting. Would you care to enlighten the rest of us as
to where you feel justified in flaming another group member, who, (as far as I
know) has never done one single thing to provoke this from you - or are you just
having a bad day?
Peace,

Did you notice the smiley face at the end of my message? As someone
who won't have the chance to see a show with that many killer bands on
the ticket, I was ribbing you for being able to be there. Don't jump

Jacob, thanks for your input - and no, not being as proficient or fluent in
e-shorthand, I didn't register the :-) next to Shawn's sign-off. If I
mis-reacted out of intended context, I'm surely sorry, and I hope no offense was
taken it that was the case.
BTW, that was a damned fine composition that Shawn submitted to the SG101 mp3
compilation - one of my personal favorite tracks out of the 33 submitted.

Shawn - Please excuse my lack of fluency in e-shorthand! I didn't register the
smiley next to your signature, so it looked to me as though the message was not
humorous. You learn something new every day, and at my age, I should know it
all by now, but it's just amazing to me how the list of things I don't know,
just seems to get longer and longer!
I'm truly sorry you can't make the show - I presumed you were in the SoCal area
- I mean with Hurricane Ashley, you definitely attained a very West-Coast sound,
and I thought it was one of the better submissions to the SG101 mp3 compilation.
Apologies,

Actually, when I first bought my tickets, I wasn't sure if I was going
either. I figured it would be better to be out the money if I didn't go
as opposed to waiting and then finding they were sold out.
