2005 "Mavericks Live Tour" Kicks Off in San Francisco
Daize Shayne and The Mermen to perform in West Coast Hard Rock Cafes
Orlando, Fla., and San Francisco, CA, May 16, 2005 - Hard Rock International
and Mavericks Surf Ventures, LLC today announced the launch of the "2005
Mavericks Live Tour," a multi-city concert tour bringing the authentic
experience of Mavericks - the "most dangerous wave on the planet" - to Hard
Rock Cafe audiences in California and Nevada this month. The Mavericks Live
Tour will feature live performances by the Mermen (the legendary Northern
California band known for its high-powered surf anthems and psychedelic
sounds) as well as World Champion surfer, model, and recording artist Daize
Shayne. Memorabilia and video footage from The Mavericks Surf Contest(tm)
will be on display, and some of the world's best big-wave surfers will be on
hand to speak with fans. The nine-city concert tour - sponsored by Verizon
Wireless and Surfer Magazine - will kick off on Thursday, May 19 at the Hard
