Keep in mind that there is Fender the company,
and Leo Fender the person.
Leo Fender is conspicuous by his absence in the Fender
catalog. There may be legal reasons for that.
But in anything historical, they always talk about Fender
as a company, and never mention Leo Fender the man.
Probably leads to some interesting situations....
where they have to do some fancy footwork to avoid mentioning
Leo, and probably fudge the truth a bit...
hey, it would be like rewriting American History to leave George
Washington out!
No, maybe worse than that!
Anyway, G&L guitars invokes the memory of Leo Fender
all the time, since it's the company he was running when he
passed on.
