Hey Everyone,
I just want to thank everyone who's been able to come out and see the
shows and say "Hi". We've been having a tremendous time out here so far,
with killer audience participation.
Back in February, I went to The Lava Lounge to see the Boss Martians on a
weeknight, and it was myself(1), the barstaff(3) and the label staff(2) in
attendance. Going in there to play we were just psyched to be able to play
in a surf-friendly venue. We had no idea the turnout would be so great! It
really set the stage for us to give it hell.
Being a weeknight, I had to pull a favor to switch start-times with The
Infrareds so that those not on vacation with day jobs could still see us and
get to bed at a semi-unreasonable hour. For those who haven't witnessed The
Infrareds, you MUST. Rory Fortune, the guitarist, has the fastest right hand
I have ever seen outside of the shower at the YMCA overlooking the YWCA
excercise yard.
These guys are KILLER and really make us work for it.
Gonna go cruise down Pacific Beach, view the local "sights" and then head
on out to The California Club. Hope to see some of you there.
