Troubadours?

Phil Kucer (surfbass7) - 07 May 2005 15:16:46

So I'm looking thru Chicago's local music paper (Illinois Entertainer)
and between the ads for Prezence (The Led Zeppelin Show) and
Bad-Medicine (The Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute) there's an add by Disc
Makers called The Independent Music World Series.
From the ad:
Come see these six great Midwest indie acts - selected by Billboard
Magazine from over 600 entrants - perform and compete to win a grand
prize worth over $35,000!
Finalists Performing:
Jaded Era (Cuyahoga Falls, OH)
Troubadours (Taylor, MI) <---------------------
Aubrey (Lawrence, KS)
The Radio Hour (Chicago, IL)
The Louie's (Ashton, IL)
Treologic (Chicago, IL)
So, Ivan, are you guys coming to Chicago May 12th? If so, congrats and
good luck!

LOL! Sadly, not us, Phil. Though I could sure use $35K!! (Who
couldn't?)
I have to find who these pretend Troubadours are. They're probably
more deserving of the name by the very fact that they most likely,
ahem, sing!
I wonder if we could just show at the festival and play instead of
them... Hmmm..

I just put 'Troubadours' and 'Michigan' together and thought...Oh well.
Darn. Too bad. I was hoping someone good was in the running for the
$35k.
That would be funny if you guys showed up!
