Well, here it all is:
Thanks!!!!
So...should we do it again? Was 3 months too long? I'm thinking maybe
we do another one later in the summer.

PS Mr. Miller - you can send me a description later
PPS Still looking for CD artwork if anyone has skillz in that area
Just some news...
I got the correct logo and info for Los Cobras posted now. Thanks
guys.
Also, The Forever Surf guys, your song appears to be truncated..???
As far as getting it onto CD-R, I'm going to wait a few days until the
dust settles and then burn myself a copy (assuming it will all fit on
one CD!). Perhaps we can start a daisy chain or tree, like what they
did on the Slacktone list. I could send a copy to someone, they in
turn could make a copy and send it to the next person, etc. The people
w/o high speed internet AND a CD burner will just have to be the
charity cases. :) That's ok too.
I've seen some preview artwork...IT'S KILLER! I think you will all
flip! But if you'd like to submit something please do, that way people
could pick their favorite cover.
And, if I screwed something up with typos, bad links, or you just want
something corrected, let me know in the next few days. The cement is
hardening on this.
Thanks,
BN
I really like that Rockin' Crickets tune "Forever Surf". I guess it's what you
would call an NOS tune being that it was written in '63.

Very cool tune. I believe there was another instrumental around that
time called Rockin Crickets. I've got it on one of those Ace
instrum-comps from several years ago, but I'm too lazy to dig through
my cds to figure out who it was :-)

Life is short. Play for the music. Wear your heart on your sleeve.
I am totally honored and totally stoked to present the first piece of
cover art for the comp. Check out the fine work by John Detrich. Click
on the image to get the full sized version.
THANK YOU JOHN!

PS I apologize to our dial-up friends, it's a pretty graphics
intensive page.
Perfect! I burned a two cd set of the MP3 comp, and have been
listening to it non-stop. It's all great! Now I have a cover for it!

Rick Selby also contributed a MS-Word document for the back cover
label. It's up on the page now. Thanks Rick!

Okay...more news:
I've got the full version of Rockin' Crickets from the Forever Surf
guys up on the web page now.
Also, John Detrich has sent me a new version of the cover art, this
one is sized exactly for a CD cover (I had to trim the other one), but
it's 300 DPI and quite a huge file. Let me work it out with John on
what's the best course to take on that. So look for that soon.
Thanks,
BN
That is one great cover! Anyone remember Odd Rods gum?
Say, what happened to the Ewak?

Okay guys, I got the new version of the cover art from John. Make sure
you click to get the full-sized version if you want to use it for a CD-
cover (it's the right size). John also sent me a large 300 DPI version
that I can email to people on request.
Thanks again John! That is so damn cool! If you ever make this into a
print or poster I will be the first in line to buy one. Let us know if
you do.
Thanks,
BN
