Maybe, this is an idea for Jerry who is looking for a cheap surf tube amp.
There are a lot of Fender silverface tube bass amps on the second hand
market. They are in general much cheaper than guitar amps because, well they
are not really great bass amps. But they might do well for guitar.
Recently I did a repair job on a colleagues Bassman 100 and I must say it
had great potential: Clean and a lot of headroom. I think with a few minor
mods it could be a mean surfmachine.
Any comments on that?

Hmmm...dat klinkt zeer interessant. Een Fender Silverface tube Bass amp.
Enig idée van de prijs? En is deze verkrijgbaar als losse head? Ik zou
erg graag het Marschall cabinet behouden, zonder de Fender te moeten
aanpassen.
Als je er ergens eentje tegenkomt, een losse head, laat het mij dan maar
weten, Ik zou hem graag eens testen.
Ik heb nog een vraagje; in attach heb ik enkele Internet foto's
geplaatst ven de Farfissa reverb unit, kan jij er uit wijs? Ik zou mijn
Farfisa graag eens laten nakijken, maar lieftst door iemand die weet wat
hij doet. Uiteraard betaal ik voor dit nazicht.
Ik heb ook gelezen dat een Jazzmaster oorspronkelijk 1000K pots heeft
(tone en volume), maar mijn CIJ Jazzmaster heeft 250meg pots. Ik werd
geadviseerd om deze eventueel te vervangen om zo meer treble in mijn
output van de pick ups te krijgen. Enig idee of dit inderdaad zou
helpen? De SD Antiuqity I's zijn uitstekende pick ups, maar ik krijg te
veel mid output en te weinig bas en treble. (ligt uiteraard mee aan de
Sovtek)

P.S. Ik heb gisteren "The Incredible Sucking Spungees" aan het werk
gezien, zeer goed, goeie sound, surf zoals surf moet klinken.
