I've been saying/thinking this for years. The problem I see with this,
and I really would know until I played it, is that the reverb doesn't
appear to measure up to a Fender tank and the tremolo/Fender vibrato
isn't the three tube version of tremolo. Is the opto-coupler was was
used on the blackface amps or is that what was used on a Tremolux,
Vibroverb or Vibrolux? If it was one of those last three it would be
fine. It is it was is on my Showman that is not anything special.
I think Fender should make a Reverb Tank with built in tube tremolo. I
would buy it.

I would be concerned about the reverb. One knob? Everyone knows 3
knobs are better than one. (I'm just kidding of course). I would also
have to try it, but I'm skeptical as well.

Yeah, the black face amps used the opto-coupler tremolo...the brown
ones had the "tube harmonic" or whatever they called it. I think the
brown amps used 3 tubes for the tremolo. Not sure though. That may
have been why Fender went with the opto-coupler later...it was cheaper
to build and maintain. Although the opto-coupler method doesn't always
seem to work too well judging by posts on The Fender Forum. Mine has
problems also.
Anyway, it struck me odd that the ad said it doesn't go "thump thump
thump" or have gain loss, but those are the exact same complaints
about the opto-coupler tremolo (which is what they are using too). You
notice the gain loss on the black face amps; the normal channel is
always louder than the trem (vibrato) channel. But maybe the gain loss
is not a problem here because it is in a separate stand alone unit.

I saw one of those Victoria Reverberato reverb/tremolo units at a
fancy boutique guitar store in my town (how that store has stayed in
business for 3 years is beyond me). I think it was $1500 or something.
YOW!

The Guyatone Reverb, at $450 and with FIVE controls, looks like a better deal.
Hey, we all
have Fender vibrato on our amp heads anyway, no? That Admiral sure looks swell,
tho,
unlike the lame Marshall cosmetics on the Guyatone.
Time for a tube reverb shoot-out! (Unleash Marty!!!)

It is not because there are more controls it will sound better.
Question is, have these reverb's been designed with surf music in mind?
Take a look at all the digital reverb's there exist. Almost every brand has
one, but as far as I know only with the Holy Grail and the Digiverb they
have tried to emulate that surf reverb sound.
Yes, I'm afraid someone has to try them out.
