Re: Vocal surf (!)/Spaghetti Western faves

Daniel Kubon (fuzznsurf) - 25 Apr 2005 06:30:11

Klas, I agree with you when you say that the Spaghetti Western/Duck
you suckers comp is uneven. I have the same feeling, it`s a little
bit too much style mix. Nevertheless you can find some dusty diamonds
on each volume [Vol. 3 "See ya in hell"features some fine bands like
Kilaueas, Zorros..]. Spaghetti western ? great topic !
One of my favourite [neo]Spaghetti Western records is the Huntigton
Cads - "Big guitars, western style" [Estrus] 7 inch.
The favourite "original" tune is [I know its nothing new] "The good,
the bad and the ugly", isn`t it ?!? Speakin about pebbles
series...you can find a cool version of that tune on the planetary
pebbles vol.2 "Excitos a go-go" from the 60`s band LOS ROMANCERS.
They call their organ fueled version "El Bueno, El Mayo Y El Feo".
gunsmokin greetings,
daniel
