My wife has one of these in black:
We don't have very much experience with real Danelectro's (vintage or
reissue), but the Jerry Jones is very nice! You can get a lot of
different tones out of it with the 4-way rotary switch.

suspect the basses are too.

a JJ hardshell case for $300.
I really like it being so light weight and the tone from being a hollow body
is great.
Now I can put money in to getting a decent amp.
