A few of the older guys here mentioned how some newer bands aren't as
classy as the older people, as in showing respect. I think there's
assholes in every generation. Go get your copies of Dalley'"Surfin
Guitars" and read the bit on the Vestells. Johnny Barakat comes of
like a total asshole, and when you read what he has to say about
himself he makes what ol' Dick says about himself seem tame.
According to Mr. Barakat we should be giving him credit for "Miserlou"
Dick stole the idea from him!
So now we can all go to sleep happy tonight, and remember this,
because of Mr. Barakat, we can all play Miserlou in our sets next time
we open for Dick. I know we'll be playing "My XKE" :)
