Brian,
Here's one of Dusty's quotes in reference to Dale from
the June 2004 issue of "The Lance Monthly - Up Close
with Dusty Watson":
“I am not challenging Dick [Dale] on his opinion
because a lot of the time he is right on the money and
he has more experience than I, but I hold my ground
when I say he should get back on the wave and ride
baby ride.”
I believe that comment says a lot in reference to his
relationship with Dick during the time he drummed for
him.
