To vincent WAS: Re: Mustang suits for surf music?

mono_tones_1 - 12 Apr 2005 15:12:59

Hi vincent
where are you in France, tho from holland, I 'm in france quite often
since my mom lives near Dijon/Baune. I m trying to set something up
in that region for the summmer, drop me a line off list if you want.
as for ebay - ebay.de (germany) is the place to be in Europe, it sees
a lot more action then any other european ebay site. btw, i did the
math on blackface showmans, and it is actually cheaper to get one
from ebay in the states, then to get one here, even if you calculate
shipping costs, import tax, VAT and the additional 110v/220v
converter you'll need. of course, those don't have the heavy
speakers, which would would make for more expensive shipping.

Ebay: seems possible to buy a vintage blackface twin reverb but only
in the USA: way too far (and too expensive) to ship! And the shipping
and handling will be much too expensive! Considering the Mustang:
thanks to all other members for telling me what they know and think
about this guitar!

Yes, that's a little too far to just swing by - some 600 kilometres i
think - oh perhaps in the future. My French is pretty much at the
level where I translate "nuit gravement a la santé" as "do some heavy
toasting at night", so perhaps we should stick to english. but I DO
try to expres myself in french
How is Surf (the music) in france, from what i get it's pretty good.
if you're in a band, notify this guy

Yes!
The bikini men are from Vendée near the town where I live Nantes... They do
pretty good stuff and from their own composition too which is better than to
only reproduce the same songs... I know plenty of surf groups down there, but
lots of groups mix surf with garage or r'n'r'... Strictly surf there is also a
group named Star and Key of the Indian ocean from nantes. You could reach them
at www.star-and-key.com/. See ya!
