hi there.
i use to play my guitar thru a 15" fender showman black face'65.
as far as i know, those amps go with a jbl d130f as "original"
loudspeaker. i always try to get those for the "original" sound,
whatever original means.. well, those speaker from the 60s in a
cool cond. are hard to find and hard to pay ($250..). are there any
similar speaker out there for those showmans?
thanks for help.

Try the Weber Vintage Speaker Technologies site (www.webervst.com).
Ted Weber makes absolutely the best sounding vintage speakers in the
world. I know, I own some. They are less expensive than the big-name
speakers, and just as good, if not better sounding. Ted is also a
really good guy, and the customer service at Weber is great. He can
steer you to the speaker that best emulates the ones your amp came
with. I can't think of a company I've dealt with that was as honest
and helpful.
thank you.
I'll second that.
I'm using weber C12CAs in both my Showman amps, one
2x12 cab and one 1x12 cab. They are very JBL-like and
very surfy. Ted has been very responsive to questions
both on the phone and e-mail.
