At this point in time--Fender has quite a catalog of various Strats
in production. If you combine that with the number of previously
issued models available used--that's a lot of different Strats to
choose from. Which model do you prefer for Surf purposes?
Any strat with big fat strings and a hot set of 1964
pickups. Change the guitar pots to 1 meg. A Dan Torres
Reverb box with 12 springs and a Tremolux. Wow,
instant nirvana...
